Industry Veteran Tom Gray Joins Aquaflex (Feb 2008)
DUNCANSVILLE, PA—Aquaflex announced today that industry veteran, Tom Gray, has joined the company as a technology and sales consultant. Mr. Gray has over 30 years’ experience in virtually all facets of the offset and flexographic printing and converting industries.
Mac Rosenbaum, F. L. Smithe Vice President said, “We’re delighted to have Tom join Aquaflex. He virtually grew up in the printing business, and he brings hands-on experience ranging from management to engineering to product development to operations and training. Tom’s expertise will be a valuable asset to Aquaflex and our customers alike.”
Mr. Gray maintains contemporary knowledge of the products, equipment, operations, and services related to the printing industry. He keeps abreast of changing industry trends and technologies, plus he holds several patents within the narrow web printing and converting industry. Gray has served as guest speaker at a number of flexographic seminars worldwide and has lectured to graphic arts groups in Europe, England, Ireland, Africa, China, Australia and New Zealand to name a few. His lectures and articles cover topics related to printing on film, plastic, and cartons using water-based inks, solvent-based inks, and UV inks. He has also conducted round table discussions on application and converting processes to penetrate new markets.
Mr. Gray commented, “Aquaflex is unique in the way they work with their customers at a very high level to help them make good equipment choices. More than just offering a comprehensive line of advanced flexographic printing presses, Aquaflex is a technology company and problem solver first and a manufacturer second. They work closely with their customers to match them up with the right technology and capability to insure their long-term success. That’s what first attracted me to Aquaflex—their focus requires not only in-depth engineering expertise but also a real commitment to building long-term relationships with their customers.”
